Figures Lie & Liars Figure- especially on Gun Control

In the video above, MCN dissects the latest Gun Control lie from the White House: 90% of Americans Favor Gun Control (thanks for that one Mr. President). Answering the call are our favorite Journolists peddling propaganda as news – the new poll results falsely claim that the majority of Americans once again favor new gun control laws– the top 3 links in a search of today's news claim it- only 60% vs 90% suddenly, but give the White House a break- who needs facts when you have feelings? As my first Statistics teacher said, “Liars figure and figures lie”.

A fascinating phenomenon is that the arguments of Gun Control Civilian Disarmament proponents falter when they are measured against the Facts 10 out of every 10 times – that's right: 100% of the time. Here are a few fact-loaded responses to these rediculous claims that make it hard for me to believe these poll results:

More than 28 percent of officers say having more permissive concealed carry policies for civilians would help most in preventing large scale shootings in public, followed by more aggressive institutionalization for mentally ill persons (about 19 percent)

Just to be sure I follow all these fancy calculations —Isn't that what got these enemies of liberty refocused on all this gun control nonsense- mass shootings? If a survey of law enforcement officers suggests more armed civilians would have the largest impact on preventing mass shootings, why are our elected officials trying to disarm civilians by implementing Expanded Background Checks a Federal Gun Registry and openly stating their intentions to disarm America?

“About 85 percent of officers say the passage of the White House’s currently proposed legislation would have a zero or negative effect on their safety, with just over 10 percent saying it would have a moderate or significantly positive effect.”

Facts make it hard to believe these claims in the press. Why do politicians and Journolists think they can deceive us? Unfortunately many uninformed Americans believe this nonsense. Do your part to stop New Gun Control Laws- Call your Senator this week and leave a message demanding hat they Oppose new gun control laws.

Just to help correct a small confusion, MCN is partly mistaken, and you may be a bit off as well. The 90% figure, which is a poll number after all, not a fact, is only specifically regarding increased background checks – not “gun control” in general. The idea (unspecified) of increased background checks (with exemptions) has wide, bipartisan, and overwhelming public support. Many different polls have indicated 87-90% support for that, and it appears to be in the Senate bill to be voted on tomorrow.

Could you please provide a source of this poll number Mikey? Mr. Noir is quite clear about the ways that polling questions are often asked in misleading ways. Background Check expansion is one of those topics abused by the polls.
